Meals

FUNSHINE participates in the USDA Food Program through Nutrition Works and will provide nutritionally balanced meals for any child who is present during serving times at no additional cost to you. Funshine has regular, unannounced visits from a state food consultant to assure the quality of food and the portions we serve are appropriate based on the meal pattern requirements established by the USDA.

Infants are fed on demand. FUNSHINE’S house brand formula is Parent’s Choice which I provide at no additional cost to you, or you may choose to purchase and provide a different brand if desired, or expressed breast milk. When your child is developmentally ready we will supply and introduce solids.

We strive to make our mealtime a pleasant experience by serving family style and providing an opportunity for teaching good table manners, positive role modeling and social interaction. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always preferred, especially when harvested from our garden.
